ISBIKE, a project created by the IBB in 2012 wanted to take the load off public transportation, developing environmental consciousness and raising healthy children. Lately, bicycles, which save time while commuting and make life easier via their mobile app, have been decreasing at ISBIKE stations.
Unfortunately, most of the abandoned ISBIKE stations turned into dumpsters around the city! where people throw their cigarettes and empty bottles at. The services of ISBIKE were especially needed near costal roads where the traffic is always on the heavy side. people have been spotting city officials collecting the bikes during the covid pandemic.
The IBB officials reportedly said that the bikes are under maintenance since children damaged them!
