Turkish phrases you NEED to know

Turkish can be a challenging language to learn depending on your backgrounds. Turkish for me, was really challenging to the point of giving up. But if you move past the irregular syntax rules, it might be a little easier. However, in my experience, having full command of the Turkish language is not necessary when moving to Turkey. Especially if you are going to turkey for a trip. I have seen friends that did not even know "yes and no" in Turkish got by just fine trying to communicate with shopkeepers by just gesturing. But, knowing some simple phrases in Turkish could give you an edge over others.
