    Different kinds of driving license in Turkey

    Driving is a passion for some people, for others its a necessity. Having a driving license in Turkey can even bring you some job opportunities. There are different kinds of driving license in Turkey that depending on your need you can apply to. Of course, like any other country, in order to get a driving license first you have to sign up for the course you want, and after passing the exams, you are rewarded with a driving license.
    Here are different kinds of driving license in Turkey and requirement for getting them.

    One of the most important factors in What kind of driving license you can get is your age. Depending on your age, the driving licenses in Turkey are the following:


    • 16 to 18 years
    Only the certificate for pedal motors and motors up to 125 cc and four-wheel motors
    including A1, B1 and M type courses.

    • 18 to 20 years
    Certificates for cars and heavy motorbikes in Turkey , trucks, tractors, bulldozers, trucks, A2, B, BE, C1, C1E, F and G courses .

    • 20 years and above
    Heavier motorcycles with a power of more than 35 watts including A
    - type courses

    • 21 to 24 years
    Trucks, minibuses, tractors and freight cars related
    to C, CE, D1 and D1E courses

    • 24 years and above
    Special bus license including D and DE courses

    As you can see, Turkey has many different driving licenses, 17 to be exact. In order to qualify for the license you are applying to, you are required to provide some documents.
    proof of age, ID and residence card
    At least having passed elementary education
    proof of attending the required courses
    in some cases, you have to have certain years of driving experience.

    You can always get a international driving license from your country of origin which is a lot easier to do rather than jumping through hoops of Turkey's legal system.
