The park, known as "Istanbul People's Garden," is situated on the Asian side of Istanbul and features an impressive variety of amenities. These include a large pond, walking and jogging paths, playgrounds for children, a skating rink, and a miniature golf course. Furthermore, the park includes a 4,000-person capacity amphitheater, which is set to host various cultural events, concerts, and shows.

The park was designed with the goal of reducing the city's carbon footprint by providing a much-needed green space. It includes an advanced irrigation system that uses treated wastewater, and a large number of trees and plants have been planted to increase oxygen levels and provide natural shade. The city park will be accessible from nine entrance points. Also home to greenhouses, citizens will be able to benefit from organic products grown in the park's facilities.

The opening of the park is expected to boost Istanbul's tourism industry, which has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. With the country's borders reopening, tourists will be drawn to the park's recreational amenities and greenery, as well as the cultural events that will be hosted at the amphitheater. Additionally, the park is expected to have a positive impact on the well-being of Istanbul's residents by providing a place to relax and exercise in nature.

The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change has opened 15 national parks in Istanbul, with the construction of 27 national parks ongoing. Across the country in general, within the scope of the significant green initiative undertaken by the authorities in recent years, the construction of 314 national gardens continues. While 484 public garden projects have been delivered nationwide, the ministry aims to reach 200 million square meters of green space by 2028.
