The season is changing, and with it, comes rain. The rain is welcome throughout Turkey, however, north and eastern provinces will experience it a bit more extreme compared to the rest of the country. Thats why the Turkish State Meteorological Service's latest weather forecast report issued a torrential rain warning for several provinces in the western and northern regions of the country, in the wake of devastating floods triggered by heavy rainfall in the northwest.
This issue is especially important for Istanbul since it was hit hardest by the recent floods. Istanbul still remains vulnerable and people have to watch out.
Other provinces in the Marmara region, including Sakarya and Bilecik, are also anticipated to experience periods of precipitation, while some provinces in the Aegean region having received similar weather advisories. In addition, most Black Sea provinces are bracing for a week of consistent rain.
The heavy rains will easily transform streets into lakes and will swallow your vehicles whole. Please stay away from rivers during the warnings and stay safe.
