What are the consequences of overstaying in Turkey?

Overstaying in Turkey without a visa has, of course, consequences!
You might be fined or banned from entering the country again for a period of time.

In case of an overstay of less than 10 days, no entry ban will be imposed. However, if you overstay longer than 10 days, the length of ban approximately corresponds to the length of overstayed period. It should be noted that the maximum duration of an entry ban to Turkey is five years.

You were fined! What to do now?
You should pay your overstay fines in the airport to the officer in charge. The officer will give you your receipt and you have to pay it in the banks located at the airport. You have to give your payment receipt to the officer before you leave.
