Oh boy believe me, it feels like being robbed at the crossroads. So, how much does registering your phone costs you in Turkey in 2023?

Well, 7 month ago, it was announced that registration will cost you 6090 TL! But after the new decision, it will cost you 20,000 Turkish Lira or almost 800 USD. This increase has caused a series of issues for the travelers. The checkpoints are now congested to the point of frustration. Not only that, those who registered and paid the fee get the error message “Cannot find IMEI registration information”.
