    How to obtain a work permit by being employed in Turkey?

    This method of obtaining a work permit is the easiest and cheapest. You need to find a job in a Turkish company and the rest will be taken care of by the employer. Your insurance premium is paid by the Turkish employer and you do not need to pay insurance (which is currently 2000 lira per month).
    To work in Turkey as an employee, you must do so through your employer or by visiting the Turkish embassy or consulate. People who want to apply for a work permit in Turkey from their country of residence must go to the Turkish consulate or embassy in their country. However, people residing in Turkey can send their documents directly to the Turkish Ministry of Labor.
    If the employer approves you as an employee and you work in a specific profession, after about a year of working with the employer and if the employer agrees, your work permit can be extended for up to 3 years.

    How to obtain a work permit by being an employer in Turkey?
    By registering a company in Turkey as an employer, you can get a work permit for yourself.
    You will receive a work permit by paying your company tax and insurance premiums.
    The amount of your insurance premium varies according to your job, which is about 1500 to 2500 lira per month.
    By registering a company, you will get a one year work permit. Under certain conditions, your work permit will be for 2 years and then for 3 years. After 5 consecutive years, if you have not left Turkey for more than 6 months, you can apply for permanent residence in Turkey.

    Tips to extend a work permit in Turkey by being an employer
    • The activity of the company is one of the criteria for continuing to work.
    • Profitability of the company another criterion that is considered to extend the work permit. In the first years, profitability is not very important, but in the following years, the company must be profitable.
    • To continue working, you must employ and pay insurance for at least 5 Turkish citizens.
    • You must reapply for a work permit 60 days before your work permit expires.

    This work permit is for post graduate students! Student work permit does not invalidate the student residence permit! so you can have both at the same time.     You can get a work permit by attending technical classes as well.
    For example, by participating in home nursing courses and obtaining a degree, you can receive your work permit by paying a fee. This type of work permit costs less than registering a company, and you can take advantage of your work permit by paying only your monthly premium.

    General conditions for obtaining a work permit in Turkey

    1. At least 6 months left from the tourist visa.
    2- Having a tax code
    3- Formal application of the employer
    4- Valid educational degree or international diploma from valid institutions
    5- Valid health insurance

    Employee work permit extension

    Foreign nationals seeking to increase their length of stay through a work permit in Turkey can apply to the Turkish Labor and Social Security Administration for an extension of their work permit. This application must be online and requires the following documents:

    3. Copy of the applicant's passport
    4. Residence visa document
    The required documents might differ depending on the profession!

    Some other notes:
    • If you are applying for a work permit in Turkey for the first time, you will need to submit proof of residence in Turkey.
