    Different variations of Turkish coffee

    Turkish coffee is famous world wide. you see videos of it being prepared on social media all the time. From how to make it foam, or turkish coffee being made in the hot sand. There are different variations of Turkish coffee that you might want to try.

    Sütlü Türk Kahvesi
    In Turkey they dont add milk to their tea, they add it to their coffee. this variation of turkish coffee means coffee with milk. most coffee shops will make this for you if you ask.

    Damla Sakızlı Türk Kahvesi
    Dalma Sakizi is a name for Mastic resin. In turkey, this aroma is very popular and they even put it in their icecream. they turn Mastic resin into a fine powder then add it to the coffee.

    Menengiç Kahvesi
    This variation of Turkish coffee, has no coffee in it at all. Its made from ground terebinth which are the fruit of Pistacia tree native to south east Anatolia. they um, also make a shampoo out of this. yumm

    Dibek Kahvesi
    This turkish coffee is a mix of different spices with coffee. its also known as Osmanli or Kervansaray kahvesi. they add carob, terebinth, cacao, sahlep, mastic and cream to the coffee.

    Kül Kahvesi
    This turkish coffee gets in name from where its brewed. They brew it on barbecue grill or over burning coals, which gives the name "ash coffee" to it.

    Mırra Kahvesi
    Mirra means bitter in arabic, which means this turkish coffee is a lot stronger than how its usually served. this type of Turkish coffee is actually brewed a few times with cardamom and is then served in round handleless espresso-sized cups.

    Tatar Kahvesi
    This Turkish coffee is served in bigger cups with a dollop of clotted cream.

    Hatay Kahvesi
    The coffee beans for this turkish coffee variation are roasted twice, giving it a much stronger flavor.

    Devebatmaz Kahvesi
    The emphasis on this variation of coffee is the foam! this litterally translates to a camel wont sink coffee, the coffee is brewed to extract maximum dark bubbles that are layered into the cup as they arise.

    Cilveli Kahve
    This Turkish coffee is served with roasted and crushed almonds on top of it. This coffee was used by potential brides as a sign of whether they liked their suitor or not!

    Süvari Kahvesi
    This is a special variation of Turkish coffee. It is served in Turkish thin-waisted tea glasses.
