    With Halloween being right around the corner, maybe you'd like to add a little more spook to your pumpkin spiced drinks!
    In addition to numerous historical and cultural attractions, Turkey also has scary places with ghost stories and urban legends.

    The ghost village of Kayakoy is located a short distance from the tourist resorts of Fethiye and Oludeniz. The dark background of this village has made it a scary place. Years ago, an earthquake struck the area, driving many Christians out of the village. Many tourists have claimed to have seen things like ghosts and strange shadows in this place.

    Bakirpasa Mansion is the oldest mansion in Turkey, which is known as a scary place. This old structure, part of which has also been demolished, frightens visitors at night due to its terrifying appearance. Locals say the building disappears once a year. If you want to experience the feeling of fear in the true sense of the word, visit this mansion at 11 pm in foggy weather. The horror stories that are being told are based on reality.

    Cemil Molla Mansion is famous for the fact that many people have claimed to see ghosts in this building. Reconstruction of the mansion was delayed several times because workers said they had seen ghosts that could harm them and were frightened, and therefore refused to do their job. According to people, during the reconstruction, one of the workers lost his ability to speak while observing ghosts. The mansion was later completely rebuilt with the help of a number of brave workers.

    The ghost mansion was built in 1911 from red brick and stainless steel windows with large glass. This mansion is also known as "Perili Kosk" which in Turkish means the mansion of ghosts. Its construction work had been abandoned for a long time because, according to rumors, its construction workers claimed to have seen the soul of the wife of the late Ottoman politician Yusuf Zia Pasha. Occasionally there is a faint piano sound in the building.

    Mullah Zeyrek Mosque is located in the Zeyrek district of Istanbul, which dates back to the twelfth century and consists of two Orthodox churches and a small church. However, it now looks scary, and some people claim to have heard screams from inside the mosque, which used to be a stable. People believe that an underground tunnel has been built from the stable to the Ivansera area. Although there is no evidence in this regard; But based on this belief, the locals know Mullah ZeyrekMosque as a scary place.

    There are 36 underground cities in Cappadocia, where groups of people lived for their own safety and well-being; Thus, at some point in history, nearly 20,000 people lived in these underground cities and worked for a living.     Basilica Reservoir is located in the center of Istanbul and has been used as a source of water for the locals for hundreds of years. This long groundwater reservoir, built in the sixth century and attract many tourists. The interior of this reservoir looks endless and in addition it is said to contain 100,000 tons of water. Because thousands of slaves lost their lives while building this huge structure, it is considered a terrifying place. The presence of ancient carvings in a groundwater chamber still amazes any viewer.

    Sumela Monastery has an interesting and audible history. Located on the Black Sea coast in Turkey, the monastery has been used as the residence of Greek Orthodox monks for hundreds of years. Sumela Monastery looks very terrifying on foggy days. If what the locals say about the monastery is true, the ghosts of the monks who lived there in the past have conquered the area.
