However, in an effort to keep the costs as low as possible, the municipality of Istanbul has built bread kiosks in the city to distribute cheap bread.
These kiosks, known as HALK EKMEK, deliver all kinds of bread to the consumers as cheaply as possible. The price of ordinary bread in HALK Ekmek kiosks is around 1.25 lira. ISTANBUL HALK EKMEK produces bread with ihe logo.
These kiosks are open from 8 am to 10 pm, but if they run out of bread, they close sooner.
Of course, they also offer these cheaper breads in some stores, such as Migros.
