Turkey prepares for the end if Ramadan Eid al-Fitr

The Ministry of Transportation has implemented comprehensive safety measures to protect over 30 million citizens traveling during the Ramadan Bayram visits. Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that preparations have been made for the anticipated 30 to 35 million travelers over the nine-day Eid Al-Fitr period. Measures include enhanced safety protocols on roads, in the air, and on railways. Uraloğlu emphasized the 60%-70% increase in traffic during holiday periods and urged citizens to exercise caution. Maintenance work on busy roads will be halted, and additional precautions have been implemented in accident-prone areas. Travelers are advised to check road conditions beforehand and can utilize route analysis programs and the toll-free "Alo 159" hotline for information. Capacity on transportation services has been expanded, including high-speed trains, mainline, and regional trains. The State Airports Authority has also made necessary preparations for safe air travel. Furthermore, administrative fines will be imposed on transportation companies engaging in unauthorized practices to ensure fair access to transportation services for citizens during the holiday period.
