"No schools without libraries" was launched to set up libraries at all schools in the country in Turkey. Now, the zero waste libraries are a new initiative by ministry of national education to ignite a passion for reading the youth.

The "no schools without libraries" was successful at establishing 16,361 libraries between October and December 2021. The zero waste libraries project which is supported by the first lady Emine Erdoğan, was combined with the aformentioned project and resulted in 250 new libraries in Jan 2022 made of recycled materials.
The Zero Waste Project aims to increase Turkey’s recycling rate to 35% by 2023, while creating employment for some 100,000 people in the recycling industry and saving $2.3 billion (TL 20 billion) yearly.
