Online shopping is one of the joys in life. Ah, not interacting with people is a blessing. Other than this blessing, when you are living in a foreign land, online shopping helps you over come the language barrier. Use google translate on the website, pay, done! In Turkey, online shopping is becoming very popular too. from ordering food and groceries, to clothing and electronics, every major shop and company is offering online services to the costumers. But, is it safe to buy electronics online in Turkey? 
Like many other countries, when you are online shopping you need some sort of return policy to test the product and return it if it is faulty. In Turkey, you used to be able to return the item you had purchased up to 14 days for any reason. Online shops in Turkey usually guaranty the condition of the item they are selling on their websites.
However, There are going to be some new regulations from now on. The ministry of commerce of Turkey has come up with new rules and regulations for purchasing electronics online. According to the new rule you can only return the electronic product IF it is not working properly/ is faulty. Meaning you can no longer return it if you didn't like it. And guess what? this is the exact excuse the ministry used to come up with the new law: " people are returning their purchases for no reasons and we are salty about it". Under this new law, the costumer is also responsible for the return fees and payments.
This new law will come into effect in the beginning of October 2022.
I don't know about you, but without the two week return policy, I'm no longer willing to order electronics and gadgets online. But, we will have to wait and see if the online shops like Hepsi Burada and Trendyol will adapt the new law or not.
