Being a student is hard, especially if you are living in a foreign country. If that foreign country is Turkey, and you don't have a full scholarship, you might realize that you can not keep up with the inflation and have to work. But, can you work as a student in Turkey in 2023?

- Students are only allowed to work up to 30 hours a week while studying
- As a foreign student, you are not permitted to work in government and private companies in Turkey.
- In 2023, if you are an MA and PhD student, you can only work if you have a work permit.
- You are not allowed to work during your first year as an Associate degree student.
- Associate degree students, who have a scholarship while studying, can not get a work permit even after they are finished with their university. MA and PhD students, however, can obtain a work permit.
- You have to be 18 years old to be able to work while a student in Turkey.
- If you want to apply for work permit, your student permit must not be expired.
- PhD and MA students can work almost with no restrictions while studying in Turkey.
