Shisha, hookah or narghile is a very popular smoking vessel in the middle east. Preparing Shisha requires using coals, therefor, a temporary ban has been placed on smoking shisha in public because of it.



Istanbul governorate has issued this temporary ban in order to limit the potential fire hazards in the forests. "Smoking shishas will be strictly prohibited in various locations, including beaches, forests, recreational areas and parks throughout Istanbul. However, it is important to note that licensed shisha lounges operating outside these designated areas will not be affected by this ban."
