Hi Mike, That's an interesting question.
Of course, the answer is not that simple. Turkish is very different from languages like English. Turkish follows a Subject-Object-Verb (SOV) order in its sentences. whereas languages like English, French and Spanish follow a SVO order.
However, this difference does not mean more difficulty in acquiring the language!
In Terms of grammar, Turkish has clear rules and exceptions which makes it easy to learn in that regard.
As for Vocabulary, Turkish has so many words that are also found in other languages such as English, French, Persian and Arabic. So learning the vocabulary of Turkish might be easier if you already know some other language.
Of course, whether a language is hard to learn or not depends on you!
According to some stats, after 6 months of learning Turkish, you'll be able to communicate fluently!
